Andrew Smith & Son Auctioneers have a significant history and required a comprehensive re-brand. Our first job was to find a suitable typeface that had a traditional feel whilst portraying a modern outlook.
The use of the Linux family of fonts and muted heritage colours allowed the logo to reflect the clients wishes. A background emblem / watermark was required for future use without the business name.
CATALOGUES & LITERATURE
The monthly auctions required a wire bound catalogue. The catalogue had to be pre-designed in template form to work in conjunction with the auction houses GAP office software.
We were also asked to re-produce all aspects of the company literature and signage. Great attention was taken over the quality of any materials used.
As a final part of the design process we were asked to produce an eye catching design for the company vehicle. As the van had yet to be purchased we asked the client to make a bold move to purchase a blue van. This in itself proving eye catching and strengthening the brand identity.
The design idea was an instant success and has proven to increase customer awareness wherever it goes.
